Join us for our Halloween Hunter Pace. In this East-Coast-style event, teams of two or three riders are invited to ride through open countryside and over optional fences, competing to finish the course closest to the ideal time. There will be vendors and a delicious lunch following the ride, with ribbons awarded at the luncheon.
Costumes are encouraged — it is a Halloween pace, after all! Dress up your horse too if the mood takes you. ASTM-certified helmets are required for all riders, over or under whatever else you have on.
There are four divisions, offering an option for every skill level and riding style. Each division is set to its own ideal time, and the guidelines below describe the pace expected over different footing.
Every rider entry includes a Santa Fe Hunt Hunter Pace t-shirt — please give each rider's shirt size when you register. Register by Friday, September 25 to be guaranteed your size; after that we'll fit you from our extra stock, which will also be for sale on the day.
ASTM-certified helmets are required for all riders, in every division, for the duration of the ride.
Non-members will also need to complete a digital waiver before riding.
